University of Cambridge

quote

I was going for a Masters in Advanced Chemical Engineering course at the University of Cambridge and had been invited for an interview. Now, this was unusual for a UK Student Visa so I was very scared and expected the worst. KGC helped me prepare for the interview by practising with me several times but more importantly calmed me down and told me that it was nothing to worry about. I am grateful to the KGC team for helping me with my visa because I would have not been able to do this on my own.

Riya Agarwal came to us for her visa application to the UK. We were able to help her with her CAS, application form and in this case, her interview at the UK Consulate as well. We were able to prepare her for her interview by doing several mock interviews and simplifying the process for her.

If required you may be called for an interview. Follow the 3 Cs when it comes to your visa interview. Be Calm, Confident and in Control. Your interviewer is looking for more information from you and your motivation behind studying abroad so try to be as articulate and precise as possible. Carry the following documents to the visa application centre: current and all old passports and the original visa fee payment receipt, acceptance letter (CAS), evidence of income and proof that funds are immediately available to cover your education in the UK School, college transcripts, standardized test score sheets, medical records, etc. The British High Commission will make a decision using the documents you submit.

FAQs

The University will apply for Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) on your behalf to the UK Visas & Immigration (UKVI) stating that you have accepted the unconditional offer to study at the university. The UKVI will then issue a CAS number for you to the university which will then be informed to you.

After verification of your identity at the visa application centre, you can apply for a priority visa which will enable you to receive a decision within 5 working days and the super-priority visa decision will be made within 24 hours. There is an additional charge involved for this service. Please be sure to check with the UKVI centre in your city if this service is provided.

It is recommended that you have all your financial documents like family and personal bank asset statements in place before you apply for the visa. If you don’t have the required finances, you can approach the university for scholarships or trusts which provide scholarships for students. Additionally, you can take a bank loan too. The key is to be able to prove that you have sufficient funds to fund your education and take care of your living expenses.

There could be a variety of reasons. We need to check the whole application in detail to provide you with a possible solution.

3 months before your course commences, you can apply for the student visa for which you should receive a decision in 3 weeks.
